Hypnosis for compulsive behaviours, addictions and habits

Changing behaviours, breaking habits and curbing addictions are all behaviours and patterns that hypnotherapy can help with.

  • Hypnosis for compulsions and addictions

Do you reach for a bottle of wine or a beer at the end of each work day without thinking about it? Have you lost time and money online gambling or at the pokies? Are these becoming things you recognise as problems you want to change?

Hypnosis can provide effective support to reduce dependency on alcohol or other habits or emerging addictions you want to change (gambling addiction, food compulsion, bad eating habits).

Hypnotherapy helps readjust your compulsive associations, and help you create new neural pathways and patterns that support you to start making positive choices that break the cycle of psychological obsession. In addition to this, hypnosis has been found to successfully treat anxiety, sleep and depression. If your alcohol or other addiction/compulsion is related to these then hypnosis my be something you want to explore.

Hypnosis is not a replacement for psychological or medial detoxification treatment, but it can be an effective complementary treatment that supports these processes.

  • Hypnosis for procrastination

Do you find yourself avoiding a task or job that needs to be done? Is the pressure building up the longer you put it off? You know you need to get started but everything else seems to be more important and urgent instead?

In a hypnotherapy session we find the best points in your thought and behaviour processes around the work you want to be done, but seem to be avoiding. Or, we look at what processes you can develop to help unlock the motivation and ideas that just don’t seem to be flowing the way you want them to.

Basically, a hypnotherapy program can help you to break that cycle, regain control and create new patterns that support and work for you.

  • Hypnosis for weightloss, exercise and eating habits

If you are aiming to improve your fitness, quality of your diet, start a new exercise regime or simply want more control of some particular compulsive eating habits - these are all things hypnosis has been found to support.

Hypnosis won’t magically help you lose weight, but it can support you to shift mindsets, establish new thought and behaviour patterns and give you more control over your choices to help you reach the fitness and well-being you are aiming to achieve. Like all change - there is no miracle pill. It will take commitment, practice and time.

Stop eating chocolate as your crutch for support, and use hypnosis to help find other ways to feel good and comforted in the long-term, and without the guilt or regret you might experience.
